The dCS Bartók is a digital-to-analog converter (DAC) and network streamer designed for high-end audio systems. It is named after the famous Hungarian composer, Béla Bartók, and is manufactured by the British company, Data Conversion Systems (dCS).
The Bartók is designed to handle all types of digital audio sources, from CDs to high-resolution files up to 24-bit/384kHz and DSD256. It can also stream audio content from a variety of online services and network-attached storage (NAS) devices, thanks to its advanced network streaming capabilities.
One of the unique features of the Bartók is its FPGA-based Ring DAC, which is known for its exceptional precision and low distortion. The Bartók also includes a built-in headphone amplifier, making it a versatile all-in-one solution for high-end audio enthusiasts who demand the highest levels of audio quality.
The dCS Bartók Apex is a limited-edition version of the Bartók that includes additional upgrades to the power supply, clocking system, and other components. The Bartók Apex is designed to deliver the ultimate in audio performance, with even greater detail, clarity, and dynamics than the standard Bartók model.
We will hosting a Headphone and Headphone Amp event on the 17 & 18th March where you will be able to test the APEX upgrade for yourself.
